New Plymouth District residents are invited to have their say and help shape the future of local government in Taranaki. Feedback closes 28 June.
Leaks across New Plymouth District’s network are estimated to be around seven million litres per day (19 per cent of total production).
NPDC is investing $289m over 10 years to 2034 to Fix the Plumbing. This includes finding and repairing leaks on NPDC’s water, wastewater and stormwater assets such as pipes, valves and joints.
Property owners are responsible for leaks on their own properties.
You can check for signs of a leak when your meter is installed by checking if there’s any change in the flow overnight when you’re not using water.
