Road Closure

In accordance with the transport (Vehicular Traffic
Road Closure) Regulations 1965, the following
road will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic to
enable the Taranaki Car Club to conduct Naki Drift
event.
Date and period of closure: from 6am to 6pm on
29 March. (Alternative date due to bad weather:
30 March.)
Road to be closed: Centennial Drive from
Paritutu Road to Rangitake Drive.
Emergency services will have unrestricted access
at all times.
The road may be reopened at an earlier time as
decided by the organisers upon removal of all road
closure signs and barriers at the venue. The road
will then be open to normal vehicle traffic and
normal traffic regulations will apply.
It is an offence under the above regulations to
drive on the closed road during the period outlined
above, unless authorised to do so by the event
organiser.
In all other situations necessitating the use of the
road, contact must be made with the site traffic
management coordinator on-site, on the day.
Alternative routes will be available and
signposted.
