TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE: ANZAC DAY COMMEMORATIONS NEW PLYMOUTH AND INGLEWOOD

In accordance with the transport (Vehicular Traffic Road closure) Regulations 1965, the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic to enable The Returned Services Associations of New Plymouth and Inglewood to conduct ANZAC Day commemorations.

NEW PLYMOUTH

Date and Period of closure: from 5.00am to 11.30am on Friday 25 April.

Roads to be closed:

  • Queen Street from Devon Street West to St Aubyn Street.
  • St Aubyn Street from Dawson to Queen Streets.
  • Young Street from Dawson to Queen Streets.
  • King Street from Dawson to Egmont Streets.

INGLEWOOD

Date and Period of closure: 5.30am to 7.30am on Friday 25 April.

Roads to be closed:

  • Matai Street from Rata to Kelly Streets.
  • Rata Street from Cutfield to Rimu Streets.

Emergency vehicles will have unrestricted access at all times.

The roads may be reopened at an earlier time as decided by the organisers upon removal of all road closure signs and barriers at the venue. The roads will then be open to normal vehicle traffic and normal traffic regulations will apply.

It is an offence under the above regulations to drive on the closed roads during the period outlined above, unless authorised to do so by the event organiser.

In all other situations necessitating the use of the roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinators on-site, on the day. Alternative routes will be available and signposted.
