NPDC says be prepared for bad weather this week

With MetService issuing high wind and heavy rain watches for New Plymouth over the next few days, NPDC is encouraging residents to make sure they are prepared.

NPDC Group Manager Planning and Infrastructure Kevin Strongman says the predicted wet weather means there is a risk of slips and flooding occurring on our roads and remind people to be cautious while they are out and about over the next few days.

Rubbish and recycling bins can be toppled in high winds so use bin latches to secure the lids.

NPDC crews will be on hand to respond to any rain related debris or drainage issues.

People can report any weather-related matters to NPDC at 06 759 6060 or email enquiries@npdc.govt.nz
