Topping up your account using internet banking helps minimise fees. You can only do this using the website when you are logged in to your account. You cannot top up using internet banking on the app.
Set up one account and have all staff using the same account to enable easy end of month reconciliation. Parking can be paid for from the office, via the PayMyPark website, if staff do not have their own smart phones.
The start-stop function is really handy if you don't know how long you're intending to park for. It is only available to account holders, you can register in the app or on the website.
To use start-stop just enter your vehicle's registration number and the zone you are parking in and the start-stop option. You will be charged up front for your parking session. This is to ensure that customers have enough credit in their accounts prior to leaving their vehicle. When you return to your vehicle press the ‘stop’ button and the app will refund your account any remaining money not used for that parking session.
There is a two hour time limit in the central section of Devon Street. Customers are expected to vacate their car park after two hours and if they do not they risk receiving a parking ticket.
The app works best on iPhone5 and newer. Sometimes the app does not display properly on older phones.
Topping your account up via internet banking can only be done on the PayMyPark website once logged in.
Customers are only able to extend their parking prior to the parking session expiring. Once a parking session has expired you cannot extend it. Customers are required to start a new parking session in this instance.
NPDC have moved to a pay by plate system. There will be slight changes when using the PayMyPark app from 17 February. You will need to enter your licence plate number and the zone where you are parking, when using the app.
