The treatment plant is being upgraded to meet new, higher treatment standards and provide extra safety for the drinking water. Status: Live

This upgrade includes increased automation of the treatment plant to be able to monitor and control the plant remotely, installing duty and standby trains for redundancy and the addition of filters and ultraviolet disinfection units.

Due to the additional equipment the treatment plant building was required to be increased in size.
