The Lorna/Devon intersection changes make it easier for ambulances from Taranaki Base Hospital to exit Lorna Street.

The project included:

Creating a dedicated left-turn lane from Lorna onto Devon.
Moving the signalised pedestrian crossing closer to the intersection.
Giving ambulances priority over the traffic lights.
Cycle and road lane changes.
