This policy provides guidance to suppliers and staff of the Council to achieve the outcomes of New Plymouth’s long-term plan and vision for the future. This policy provides clear intentions to suppliers, contractors and the community on the key areas the Council will consider throughout the procurement process.
This policy and the Council’s procurement manual outlines the strategic approach that the Council will take to planning, sourcing and managing its procurement activities. The Council is committed to negotiating with suppliers in a fair, open and transparent manner, while ensuring maximum value for the procurement of goods, works and services.
