Nau mai, haere mai. NPDC’s Iwi Relationships Team represent and advocate for tāngata whenua, connecting iwi, hapū and the Council.
We aim to facilitate clear communication and build strong partnerships between different groups to ensure Māori have a strong, well-informed voice in decision-making. We know that engaging and consulting with tangata whenua early in decision-making leads to a better understanding of the issues and opportunities that exist for our people, within our district.
