Waste minimisation at school

New Plymouth District Council has a range of services on offer to schools and other education centres to assist with waste minimisation and delivering zero waste education to children and young people.

Waste audits and assessments

Interested in how you can reduce your waste?

Would you like to find out more information on how well your school is recycling?

Why not book our educator to visit your school and carry out a waste assessment or audit.  This provides an opportunity for us to work with a group of children and links directly to the curriculum areas of measurement and statistics.  From the audit we can assist with developing a goal and an action plan to minimise your waste.

More information on the programme can be found on the Zero Waste Education website. The programme can be tailored and timetabled to fit the needs of your school.  To discuss further or to book please email us.
