We have partnered with Zeal to help deliver our Youth Strategy.

Zeal is a nationwide not-for-profit youth organisation dedicated to helping young Kiwis discover, express and develop their unique creativity. The partnership aims to increase youth participation in the district and enable positive development of young people. Our strategic partnership with Zeal provides funding to support a youth centre in the city, youth development programmes and school and community events.

So far Zeal has worked closely with us to understand young people’s views on projects like the extension of the Coastal Walkway to Waitara and Blip e-Scooters. This partnership also encourages youth participation in elections and our district plan.
