The Community Services and Programmes Grant aims to support projects and programmes that act as a catalyst for change or seek to strengthen the community and make long-lasting change.
The grant scheme is the main fund for community organisations, and funds public education, activities, programmes and services to the people of New Plymouth District.
The award of community funding by Council will be guided by the following value considerations:
is there an unmet community need?
is this a purposeful activity demonstrating outcomes to benefit the community and promote public good?
how the grant will lead to building capacity and sustainability
to what extent will the funding be used for activities that align with the Council's strategic vision, mission and goals.
The fund is only available to entities, groups and organisations who are a not-for-profit or charitable organisation, and who may or may not be registered on the Charities Register.
Please see Community Funding Investment Policy and the policy schedules for eligibility and exclusion criteria.
